Penley Rounds was recorded in 2016 and produced for the Faraway Jazz label. It took place on a hot day in Brooklyn, at Faraway Sound Studios.
The compositions are influenced by Arnold Schoenberg, Rock and Roll, Pauline Olivieros, Brian Eno, Paul Motion, Mike Watt, The Latin Tinge, and shredding. The music is a combination of through composed pieces, jazz standard type lead sheets, and rhythm notation with open interpretation of pitches.
